# MSD Crank Trigger to Generator Cross-Over Switch (PN 7990)
## Functionality
️· Allows switching between crank trigger pickup and generator pickup.
️· Facilitates timing adjustments (setting timing and using a "softer" timing setting).
## Harness Connections
️· Long Harness: Generator's Magnetic Pickup
️· Mid-Length Harness: Generator
️· Short Harness: Crank Trigger Pickup
️· Important: Do not lengthen any harnesses.
## Mounting & Operation
️· Mount on dash panel where harnesses can reach connections.
️· Crank trigger is active when the lever is towards the flat area on the switch.
️· Refer to Figure 1 for switch position.
## Warranty
️· One-year warranty against material and workmanship defects, with proof of purchase.
️· Void for items purchased through auction sites or modified from original intended use.
️· Returns require a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number. Contact MSD or visit [www.msdperformance.com/rma](http://www.msdperformance.com/rma) to obtain one.
️· MSD technicians available 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mountain Time.
