6 Detailed Description
6.1 Overview
The OPAx591 are high precision, low power (420μA), high-slew rate (100V/μs), 85V operational amplifiers (op
amps). These op amps uses a proprietary design technique to achieve a very high slew capability with minimal
power consumption. The OPAx591 is capable of driving ±30mA of output current and can swing to within 100mV
of either power supply rail.
The amplifiers feature state-of-the-art CMOS technology and advanced design features that help achieve
outstanding ac performance and enable small package options. The OPAx591 strengths also include 3.75MHz
bandwidth, 12.8nV/√Hz noise spectral density, and low input bias current. These features make the OPAx591
an exceptional choice to gain or buffer the output of a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) and precision high-side
current sense applications.
