4 / 25 page ![]() Voltage Dependent Characteristic Transient Voltage Suppressors(varistors) are voltage-dependent electrical resistors with symmetrical V/I characteristic and the breakdown region, their resistance value decreases with increasing voltage, thus “short-circuiting” further rises in overvoltage.
